A letter from David Wilson, Chair of the Be. Board, announcing the appointment of our new Chief Executive Officer
On behalf of the Be. Lab Board, I am absolutely delighted to announce the appointment of Gabrielle Clezy as Chief Executive Officer of Be. Lab.
Gabrielle brings over 20 years of senior leadership experience in complex environments and a strong track record of steering organisations towards sustainability and growth. Her extensive background in managing social enterprises and delivering transformative change makes her an ideal fit for Be. Lab to take us to the next level, building on the immensely valuable work the team has done, and continues to do.
Collectively as a board we identified that there was a need for experienced CEO to support our capable team through this important growth phase. Her ability to build a sustainable and inclusive culture, strategise, connect and engage with key stakeholders, were precisely the skills we were looking for in a leader.
Gabrielle has held significant roles, including Chief Executive positions at RNZSPCA and Haumaru Housing LLP. Her strategic thinking, ability to manage complexity and commitment to inclusive leadership will be invaluable as Be. Lab continues its mission to create a 100% accessible New Zealand
Be. Lab (formerly known as Be. Accessible) was launched in 2011 with the vision of making New Zealand the most accessible nation in the world. We work with leading organisations and citizens to redefine accessibility and enable greater inclusivity for all. By partnering with the Global Centre of Possibility @ AUT, we continue to push the boundaries from disability through accessibility into the realm of possibility.
Achieving transformational change runs deep in our DNA. With Gabrielle Clezy at the helm and our dedicated team and board, we can work to support organisations through an economically challenging time to build better businesses whilst driving positive change and outcomes for people with disabilities.
Gabby will be starting at Be. Lab on 17thJuly. I invite you to please get in touch with Gabby and the team to learn about how we can support your accessibility journey.
Kind regards, David Wilson
