Tanya is passionate about equality and justice, with a mission to create change and disrupt the status quo.
Tanya currently works as economic development manager for the film industry in Wellington and focal point for the UNESCO City of Film designation.
Having worked in media for the past 16 years, Tanya believes in the power of stories to support and promote causes.
Tanya has held various governance and mentoring roles. She is currently a trustee of the Spectrum Foundation and has previously held roles with the NZ Rugby Foundation, and as Chairperson of Māpura, an arts studio for children and adults who live with a range of disabilities.
Originally from Tāmaki Makaurau, Tanya now lives with her partner and his teenage daughters in Petone, Te Whanganui a Tara.
