Tony has been part of the Be. Team since Be. Accessible was founded in 2011, bringing his extensive experience as an accessibility assessment expert and disability information consultant. Tony completed the Be.Leadership Programme in 2012.
With lived experience of a disability, and from a family with three generations of lived experience, Tony feels empowered to make a difference, to create a more accessible society for all people now and for those yet to follow through on the accessible pathways that he helps to create.
Tony loves sport, and has coached Wheelchair Rugby, and represented New Zealand in this sport. He won a bronze medal at both the Atlanta 1996 and Sydney 2000 Paralympics and a silver medal at the 1998 World Cup in Toronto. He enjoys spending time in his local accessible parks and community spaces, and with his family whenever possible.
